- Compile Life of Lease (LoL) plans
- Maintain monthly rolling Life of Lease (LoL) plan
- Corrective actions required for deviations from plan
- Ensures technical discipline integrity/audit
- Ensure robustness of short- and long-term plans
- Necessary skills development
- Input into mining blueprint
- Input into mine technical systems development
- Planning scenarios
- Disseminate best practices
- Site specific standards and guidelines
- Correct use of mine technical systems

- Audits compliance with Business Unit guidelines and standards, and mine specific standards
- Consolidates short term plans
- Scenario analyses for lease area

- Trade-off studies for lease area and potential projects.
- Compile and maintain Life of Lease (LoL) plans.

- Continuously updates Life of Lease (LoL) plans with short term planning modifications to maintain a Life of Lease (LoL) Rolling window.
- Bachelor's degree in mining (B-Tech as well as Mine Managers Certificate of Competence), or Survey ticket (Government Certificate of Competence)
- Mining qualifications that support the preparation of mine plans such as survey or mine layouts/ designs
- 5-7 years working experience of which 5 years in mine planning
- Experience in massive mining will be advantageous.
- Experience in longhole drilling and blasting will be advantageous (design and execution)
- Knowledge in Deswik mine design and scheduling is desired
- Knowledge of Aegis (or similar) ring design software is desired
- Ability to relate the outputs of mining plans with financial implications
- Ability to obtain information from the relevant sources and liaise with other related disciplines (Survey, Geology, Rock Engineering, etc)
