The Service Engineer role centres around providing expert technical solutions for hydroelectric power plants, requiring strong engineering skills and customer-focused experience.Key Responsibilities
- Technical Specialist: Deliver detailed technical information and support for the installation, operation, and maintenance of hydroelectric plant machinery.
- Customer Service: Respond promptly to customers' immediate needs, including diagnostics, preventative maintenance, repairs, and on-site upgrades.
- Product Development: Participate in application development, product design, and introduce new products while identifying new opportunities.
- Project and Relationship Management: Organise meetings with sales teams, project managers, and customers. Manage projects and maintain excellent customer, supplier, and vendor relations.
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering (minimum)
- 5 years’ hands-on experience with hydro plant machinery
- A background in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Previous experience in providing technical service to customers
- Proven problem-solving ability, proficiency in manufacturing and commissioning, and capacity to meet project deadlines
- Background in mechanical/electrical engineering; knowledge of non-destructive testing and QA
