Job Title: Inventory AssistantLocation: Isando, Kempton ParkSalary: R12 000 – R15 000CTCJob Summary:The Inventory Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the management of inventory levels, tracking supplies, and ensuring proper documentation and organization of goods in the warehouse or storage areas. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure the efficient operation of inventory processes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Tracking and Control: Monitor stock levels, track inventory movements, and perform routine inventory checks to ensure accurate counts.
  • Stock Management: Assist in receiving, organizing, and storing incoming goods, ensuring that all products are correctly labeled and stored in designated locations.
  • Inventory Audits: Participate in periodic stock audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Data Entry: Maintain up-to-date records of inventory levels, orders, and shipments using inventory management software or manual documentation.
  • Order Fulfillment: Assist in preparing orders for shipment, ensuring items are correctly picked and packed for delivery.
  • Supply Coordination: Work closely with the procurement team to identify low stock levels and place orders for replenishment when necessary.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Ensure that all goods received are in good condition, verify packing lists, and manage the proper storage of items.
  • Maintain Inventory Organization: Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient inventory space, following safety and quality standards.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to management regarding stock levels, inventory discrepancies, and any issues related to inventory.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications related to inventory or logistics is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and inventory management software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (if required).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
