,Our client who specialises in Window Décor for the retail sector, is looking for a Regional Merchandise Manager for KZN. The purpose of the role will be to ensure prime position and staff management at retailers who stock their products.Minimum Qualifications:

Matric + Tertiary qualification in Retail Management, or a related field would be an advantage
Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role in a related retail environment (Hardware, Home Décor)
Strong background in sales operations and team leadership.
Ability to fight for retail space and maintain it
Experience in managing large teams across multiple locations is preferred
Proficiency with retail management systems, time and attendance etc
Ability to analyse performance data and implement strategies for improvement
Excellent leadership, coaching, and motivational skills
Valid driver's license and own vehicle

Responsibilities:

Disciplinary management
Supervise and motivate a team of 50+ sales assistants across multiple locations within the province
Conduct regular visits to various stores across KZN to provide support, coaching, and motivation to sales staff, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets
Monitor and track sales performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to increase sales
Ensure that sales operations are running smoothly at all locations by coordinating with store managers, ensuring effective stock management, merchandising, and adherence to company policies
Conduct regular audits and performance reviews of store operations, ensuring high levels of customer service and operational efficiency
Coordinate with other departments (HR, inventory, marketing) to implement programs and initiatives that enhance store performance and team morale
Conduct regular training sessions to keep staff updated on new products, promotions, and sales techniques
Identify areas for improvement and work with sales assistants to develop their skills and performance
Collaborate with HR and payroll departments to ensure that compensation structures are followed
