Cape Town: My client, a leading specialist in environmental, green building, and social intelligence consulting, based in the Southern Suburbs is seeking an experienced Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAPASA Registered) to join their team.Valid EAPASA registration is a compulsory requirementPurpose of the Role: To lead the Environmental Services (ES) Team, overseeing strategic projects, operational delivery, and client relations. The role ensures quality, compliance, and innovation in environmental services, while driving long-term growth, strengthening partnerships, and enhancing brand presence in the market.Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To
  • Oversee ES Team Project Portfolio, ensuring project timelines, quality, deliverables, and budgets are met
  • Lead Environmental Services, Bird & Bat Monitoring, and SDOD Teams
  • Ensure team registration with SACNASP and EAPASA
  • Manage project permitting and compliance for large-scale EIA and ECO projects
  • Prepare fee proposals, tenders, and scopes of work
  • Track costs and maintain company registration on strategic tender databases
  • Drive operational efficiencies and process improvements
  • Expand ecological assessment and monitoring services, and develop new product offerings
  • Strengthen client relations and strategic partnerships
  • Develop and implement environmental training programs
  • Represent the company at industry forums (e.g. IAIA)
  • Enhance brand visibility and reputation within the sector
  • Assist with project recruitment and staff development
  • Provide logistical and operational support across company functions
Criteria
  • Relevant Environmental Science/Management Degree
  • Professional Memberships: EAPASA, SACNASP preferred
  • Strong knowledge of SEMA regulations, Equator Principles, and renewable energy sector
  • Technical expertise in environmental auditing, environmental programmes, and construction management
  • Experience in regenerative design principles
