We take on unique projects that result in a final product that is bespoke, innovative and personal.Role overview:We are seeking a Junior Interior Designer to support our design team throughout all project phases, from initial client briefing and concept development to materials sourcing, technical drawing compilation, client presentations, and on-site installations. This role is based in studio and reports directly to the Senior Interior Designer and Studio Manager.This position will be based in Greenpoint, Cape Town.Key responsibilities:
  • Assist Designers and the Creative Director with developing design concepts aligned to the studio's aesthetic and client briefs
  • Prepare furniture layouts, spatial plans, and mood boards to support design development
  • Support the creation of drawing packs, including electrical layouts, lighting plans, artwork layouts, and window treatments
  • Assist with analysing consultant layouts and helping identify potential design issues
  • Produce basic 3D views, renders, and visualisations for internal reviews and client presentations
  • Help compile detailed interior documentation: plans, elevations, joinery details, and finishes schedules
  • Research materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories, preparing specification sheets where required
  • Liaise with suppliers for samples, quotations, and lead times
  • Maintain organised project files, documentation, and adherence to studio standards
  • Participate in site visits to support the design team in inspections and progress reviews
What you bring:
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in interior design (internship experience welcome)
  • National Diploma or Degree in Interior Design (or equivalent qualification)
  • Proficiency in Revit or willingness to develop skills quickly
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Understanding of design principles, spatial planning, and material selection
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under supervision
