We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to support engineering teams by installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing mechanical systems and machinery. The Mechanical Technician will work with engineers, artisans, and production staff to ensure equipment operates efficiently and meets safety and performance standards.Key Responsibilities:Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipmentConduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenanceAssemble and disassemble mechanical components using technical drawingsOperate tools and machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grindersPerform alignment, balancing, and calibration of machineryRecord maintenance activities and report faults or abnormal equipment behaviorSupport engineers with testing, commissioning, and modifications of mechanical systemsEnsure compliance with safety procedures, standards, and regulationsMaintain an organized workspace and ensure tools are used correctly and safelyAssist in troubleshooting mechanical failures and recommending solutionsRequirements:Education:Grade 12 (Matric)N4–N6 Certificate or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldTrade Test Certificate (advantageous)Experience:1–3 years experience in a mechanical or industrial environmentExperience with pumps, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, or plant machinery preferredSkills & Competencies:Strong mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematicsFamiliarity with hand and power toolsGood communication and teamwork skillsSafety-conscious and detail-orientedComputer literacy (basic reporting and equipment monitoring)Salary is market related.The post appeared first on .
