Area Manager - Crop Protection/Plant Nutrition - Kwazulu-Natal

Minimum requirements for the role:

Minimum grade 12 is required for this role.
A national diploma or related qualification in agriculture or related is preferred for the role.
An AVCASA and or BASOS certificate is preferred.
Previous experience having worked as an Area Manager or related managing and working closely with distributors within the agricultural market is essential.
Must be computer literate in Microsoft Applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing and driving distributors as well as key accounts promoting crop protection and plant nutrition products within the agricultural industries within KwaZulu-Natal and related areas.
Developing and implementing strategies for business growth within the area.
Designing and developing innovative products with the product development team.
Providing technical advice on specialised products to agents/distributors and farmers on various products required for different crops.
Supporting and assisting distributors to develop solutions for crops and plant nutrition.
Managing logistics and supply chain arrangements for depots regarding stock.
Managing stock forecasts to ensure that distributors and customers are supplied timeously with product.
Giving training on products with distributors at clients.
Managing and controlling consignment stock in depots to increase sales and reduce stock levels.
Running trials at customer sites and reporting on results.
