Provide and undertake complex design modelling and production tasks, prepare tender/construction documents and provide technical support services in meeting the requirements of the functional group and its clients.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES3D Modelling and detailingQuality audit on outgoing drawings/ modelsModelling 3D, 4D and 5D models of projects for productionBIM implementationParticipating in office technical discussions and project delivery meetingsMentor, train and provide technical support to junior staffConducting conceptual and detailed design and drafting in order to prepare technical drawings and documentationProvide practical and economical solutions to project deliverablesApplying a deeper understanding of modelling principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problemsMaintain a high level of Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) and modelling expertise and engineering knowledgeUndertake supervisor role and lead on projectsCoordination of multi-disciplinary work on projectsContribute to the overall management and profitably of the functional groupEnsure drawings and documentation are to the highest qualityMaintain client satisfactionStrictly adhere to SMEC’s Management System (MS), quality standards and OHS proceduresAssist Project Managers with site queries and reporting solutionsParametric ModellingModel FederationAutomation and codingKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORSAccuracy of drawingsMeeting set deadlinesAbility to work independentlyIdentifies and understands technical issues, problems and opportunitiesProject delivery to meet client’s ToR/ BEPDevelopment of networks and contribution to team goalsCommercial awarenessTechnical support and mentoringISO-19650 UnderstandingRECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEProfessional Registration in Draughting (Autodesk Certified)Minimum of 10 years of professional experienceMinimum of 5 years in similar positionSome key experience in relevant projectsProficiency in Revit, C3D, Bentley and any other discipline associated software essentialBIM360/ ACC and Projectwise ProficiencyModelling and Detailing to required LOD outlined in BEPExperience working on major infrastructure/ building projectsAbility to work well within team and positive attitude to your workStrive to deliver projects on time and to budgetWe are proud of the brilliant minds we have at SMEC and are committed to ensuring that our people have the best opportunities and resources to learn, grow and succeed.
