A leading transport company is looking for an experienced Operations Scheduler with strong planning, coordination, and customer service skills to join their team in Parow, Cape Town. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple services simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Responsibilities:Allocate all booked trips to vehicles and ensure system exceptions are resolved.Plan and optimise routes to ensure efficiency and punctuality.Monitor the MIS system, correct errors, and ensure data accuracy.Maintain and track all operational devices, ensuring proper maintenance records.Proactively monitor trips to ensure on-time arrivals and address potential delays.Act to improve the customer experience, supporting drivers where necessary.Liaise professionally with drivers, sub-contractors, and customers on operational matters.Assist drivers in locating users and resolving delays.Maintain detailed operational records, monitoring driver compliance with dress code, timekeeping, and fatigue management.Identify and address operational training needs.Support drivers in accident situations, ensuring compliance with company procedures.Report customer service issues and submit daily incident reports.Communicate route changes or diversions promptly and effectively.Requirements:Proven experience in a scheduling or operations coordination role, preferably in transport or logistics.Strong understanding of service operations and customer service handling.Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.Skilled in using MIS or similar tracking systems.Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.Benefits
