This is an opportunity to be at the heart of a lean, impactful team where your ability to drive delivery will make a real difference.The Role: Engineering Delivery LeadAs Engineering Delivery Lead, your role is to sharpen the delivery muscle of one or more engineering squads. Part team coach, part project manager, and part delivery enabler, you will ensure the right work gets done quickly, clearly, and to a high standard.You'll own daily execution, guide delivery practices, remove blockers, and hold the team to account on pace and quality. This is a hands-on role where you'll influence both people and process to help the team stay aligned, prioritised, and productive.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn day-to-day delivery operations for one or more engineering squadsRun Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectivesHold engineers accountable for delivery commitments and output qualityMaintain momentum by identifying blockers early and clearing risksDrive prioritisation efforts with engineers and product managersCoach engineers on estimation, focus, and delivery habitsKeep delivery tools (e.g., Linear, Slack) up to date and well usedProvide regular, structured progress updates to leadershipLine manage engineers including 1:1s and performance feedbackAbout You3+ years experience in a Delivery Lead, Engineering Manager, Scrum Master, or similar roleStrong background in Agile delivery within a startup or high-growth environmentConfident in driving stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning sessionsStrong grasp of engineering team dynamics and delivery best practicesExcellent communication and prioritisation skillsAble to provide candid feedback and hold team members accountableHighly organised, persuasive, and focused on resultsBased in South Africa, available to work 9am6pm UK timeBonus PointsPrior experience line-managing engineersFamiliarity with Linear and SlackExperience working with distributed teamsExposure to product management or product operations
