  • 5 years experience in technical sales and laboratory work in Food Technology.
  • National Diploma in Sales and Marketing
  • Btech in Microbiology/ Chemistry/ Food Technology/ Biotechnology
  • MS Office Suite proficiency
  • Bilingual (English/ Afrikaans)
  • Drivers licence
  • Clear criminal record
  • Sober habits
DUTIES:
  • Identify new business target markets
  • Target new business based on monthly market segments
  • Target new business based on industry changes, updates, and historical norms
  • Quotations for new clients
  • Assist clients with the completion of new client forms
  • Assist new clients with finance information for procedures and policies
  • Confirmation with new clients, sample loggers, and laboratory for POs before logging and lab releasing of results
  • Resolve outstanding queries
  • Follow up with all new clients regarding their first-time interactions
  • Resolve any existing client queries if complaints are raised
  • Resolve all queries and client complaints for new clients
  • Monthly follow up meetings with all new clients
  • Reports to be populated for new VIP clients and to be discussed with senior representatives in monthly external meetings
  • Compile and maintain a database of leads
  • Compile and maintain a market-segmented database of existing clients to communicate more effectively with clients
  • Form and maintain relationships with vital role players through continuous contact and interaction
  • Demonstrate ability to compile quotation and navigate the LIMS system
  • Submit weekly reports
  • Attend weekly feedback meetings to update on new client information
  • Monthly reports to be compiled of monthly sales activities
  • Understand issues in various departments and find suitable workable solutions
  • Make recommendations of the various tests and services
  • Assist clients telephonically and via email
  • Be professional and courteous in all forms of communication
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by management from time to time
HOURS:
  • Mon – Fri: 08:00 – 17:00
