This is a dynamic, outbound-focused business development role geared toward identifying and qualifying UK-based SMEs in need of commercial finance. Acting as the first point of contact, you'll be responsible for driving top-of-funnel activity, leveraging your financial product knowledge to facilitate seamless introductions to UK advisors. The role rewards initiative, consultative selling, and a strong grasp of financial structures.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage UK SME prospects via outbound calls, LinkedIn outreach, and CRM-led campaignsUnderstand prospects' business operations, funding challenges, and financial documentationPromote tailored funding options such as asset finance, invoice finance, and commercial loansUse HubSpot and Apollo to manage leads, activity logs, and reportingBook qualified meetings for UK-based commercial finance advisorsCollaborate with marketing and sales to refine outreach strategy and improve conversion ratesMeet or exceed key performance metrics (e.g., outreach volume, qualified meetings)About You310 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in finance, brokerage, or asset lendingProven ability to sell financial solutions in a competitive, consultative environmentUnderstanding of SME finance needs and commercial finance productsComfortable interpreting financial documents like Balance SheetsExcellent communication skills with a professional UK-facing business toneProficient in CRM platforms, particularly HubSpot and ApolloMotivated, detail-oriented, and organized with a self-starter mindsetHome office setup with reliable internet (10 Mbps minimum)Available to work UK business hours (8 AM 5 PM GMT)Based in Cape Town and eligible to work in South AfricaLet me know if you'd like a version tailored for job boards like LinkedIn or Indeed.
