Our client, a well established supply chain and logistics company, division of a JSE listed Group, seeks two Business Development Managers, for their Durban and Cape Town offices.Job Purpose:
  • To focus on driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and developing strategies.
  • Play a crucial role in expanding the organisation’s market reach and increase the revenue.
  • Involved in all aspects of business development, from market research and lead generation to negotiating deals and managing client relationships.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Sales / Marketing, Supply Chain or similar.
  • At least 5 years' sales experience in a similar role and/or a Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a commercial or business development role, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment,
  • A proven sales track record is essential.

Key Performance Areas:
Report to the Senior Business Development Manager:
  • Identifying and researching new business opportunities:
  • Analyse market trends, identify potential target markets, and research leads, identifying potentials.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies:
  • Create plans to achieve growth objectives, including identifying new markets and client needs.
  • Building and maintaining Client Relationships:
  • Network, attend industry events, and nurture relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Monitoring Sales progress and Performance:
  • Track key metrics, analyse data, and make adjustments to strategies in order to meet goals.
  • Collaborating with internal teams:
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Negotiating and Closing Deals:
  • Communicate and negotiate to secure new business and partnerships.
  • Administration:
  • Capture customer engagement data into Sales Mobility platform.
  • Proper, efficient and effective use of the Sales Mobility platform.
  • All relevant information regarding the engagement to be captured.
  • Efficient, Effective, Quality reporting on all sales and marketing aspects of the business.
  • Ensure all necessary guidelines strictly adhered to.
