RPO's client is seeking an experienced and driven SHE Specialist to oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental operations at their Chloorkop facility. This role is ideal for a compliance-focused professional with a passion for creating safe work environments and a strong understanding of regulatory standards, risk assessments, and behavioural safety practices.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee daily HSE compliance at the site, ensuring adherence to OSH Act and ISO 45001Conduct incident investigations, audits, risk assessments, and compliance inspectionsReview contractor SHE plans and ensure effective safety protocols are implementedLead daily toolbox talks, monitor site safety behaviour, and drive safety performance metricsMaintain up-to-date HSE files and documentation, ensuring accurate recordkeepingProvide regular feedback to management and assist with SHEQ-related initiativesPromote a culture of safety awareness through training, inspections, and daily engagementMinimum RequirementsDiploma in Occupational Health, Safety, Environment, or Quality Management5+ years of SHE experience in an industrial or construction environmentWorking knowledge of ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 standardsStrong understanding of South African OSH Act and construction regulationsSolid risk assessment, audit, and SHE system implementation experienceExcellent communication, leadership, and reporting skillsReady to take on a challenge and join a dynamic team?RPO Recruitment can help you secure your next opportunity.
