- be passionate about Design and have an active interest in adopting innovative approaches to the teaching of the subject.
- have experience of teaching the IEB Design curriculum to Grade 12 level - this is a minimum requirement of this position. Experience as an IEB sub-examiner of Matric final examinations will be an added advantage.
- be willing and able to also teach junior Visual Art, if required.
- have excellent organisational and communication skills.
- embrace the various technologies and equipment, particular to this subject, to significantly enhance the learning experience for students.
- be willing to participate fully in the life of the school and in extra-curricular activities.
