- Understand the customer: maintain a deep understanding of the financial challenges facing schools in South Africa
- Understand the Karri solutions: maintain a deep understanding of the Karri product to provide solutions for prospective school customers
- Sales: Grow topline revenue by bringing on new school customers
- Run the school sales process: Prospect, pitch, demo, close and train new schools; iterate and improve the process
- Drive adoption and usage: Identify the highest-impact levers to drive optimal usage of the platform post sale.
- Report: Regular reporting of key metrics against targets
- Monitor the market: Keep abreast of developments locally and globally.
- Planning: Participate in the planning and execution of marketing and advertising activities
- Collaborate across teams: Work with product, ops, marketing and customer support to improve tools, materials, and campaigns.
- Optimise internal tools: Work within our CRM system to own the sales pipeline
- Travel: National travel and face to face meetings to spend time with school staff to understand usage patterns and pain points.
- Present: Presenting at conferences and school board meetings
- A passion for changing the status quo, with a clear desire to work in a forward-thinking tech company and a willingness to grow with the company as it expands
- A seasoned B2B and B2C Sales Manager with key account sales experience
- Experience with CRM systems
- Ability to draw insights from data and customer engagements, and translate into actionable tactics
- High energy, charismatic individual
