- Oversee and manage the financials across multiple business units.
- Implement and maintain robust financial systems and structures.
- Ensure financial targets are achieved and compliance standards are met.
- Maintain the integrity of financial records in line with IFRS standards.
- Prepare and submit monthly forecasts, annual income statements, and balance sheets.
- Compile weekly and monthly dashboards and flash reports.
- Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. forecast) and propose corrective actions.
- Produce monthly financial packs and ensure timely reconciliations of general ledgers.
- Assist with monthly stock counts across outbound and reverse logistics.
- Conduct bi-monthly cycle counts and report on findings.
- Investigate inventory variances and recommend corrective measures.
- Provide insights and statistics on warehouse operations and KPIs.
- Conduct benchmarking between branches.
- Analyze inventory levels and identify inefficiencies or anomalies, implementing action plans where necessary.
- Operate within established controls and procedures to ensure financial integrity.
- Monitor risks and maintain the department’s risk register.
- Report compliance concerns and ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks to minimize waste and irregular expenditure.
- Contribute to the budget preparation and implementation process.
- Monitor expenditure, ensuring spending remains within budget.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Promote the efficient use of financial and other resources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the finance function in relevant meetings.
- Proactively resolve issues and demonstrate integrity aligned with company values.
- Ensure stakeholder needs are met and service level agreements are upheld.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (NQF 7)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (NQF 8)
- CIMA registration
- Up to 5 years of experience in an Accounting or similar role within the Manufacturing Industry
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant accounting/ERP systems
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial best practices
- Proactive and action-oriented
- Analytical with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
