Our Client has a vacancy for a Maintenance Manager at their Durban office.POSITION INFO:The successful candidate must be dynamic and proactive, with high skill levels and competencies.Duties include, but are not limited to: • Plan and manage all hashtag#maintenance projects/activities • Plan, supervise and control labour on all maintenance projects • Co-ordinate and supervise yard and admin office maintenance and labour • Compile maintenance requirements and formulate maintenance budgets • Manage maintenance expenditure within approved annual budget • Develop, implement, and manage dock maintenance schedules • Document and prepare daily progress reports re all maintenance activities • Conduct regular yard inspections to detect and resolve problems • Ensure that all maintenance programmes for Company assets are up to date • Control and maintain all asset registration and compliance certificationREQUIREMENTS • A relevant tertiary education and/or trade qualification will be an advantage • Minimum 10+ years’ experience with a strong technical maintenance background • Maintenance experience in a marine environment will be a distinct advantage • Experience with hashtag#crane maintenance will be preferable • Must be in possession of a valid, unendorsed driver’s licence • Strong administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail • Excellent verbal & written communication skills • Computer skills : MS Office incl Excel • High level of quality and detail orientation
