
Sales Engineer

- Identify and engage with new Commercial Refrigeration customers and prospects, creating opportunities for tailored solutions
- Support clients and key stakeholders, including distributors, OEMs, contractors, system integrators, and consultants, sharing expertise and best practices
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and long-term collaboration
- Gather market insights through proactive research and prospecting to stay ahead of competitors
- Prepare quotations, configurations, and project calculations to support client decision-making
- Organize and participate in exhibitions, seminars, and meetings to showcase Danfoss solutions
- Drive sales growth by developing the product portfolio and delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions
- Deliver technical presentations and provide clear, regular updates on sales activities, opportunities, and project progress
- Educational background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; knowledge of refrigeration-related topics is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience driving results and customer satisfaction, preferably gained in structured international environments, ideally within the African market
- Strong customer focus with the ability to build lasting relationships across diverse markets, including experience collaborating with distributors, OEMs, system integrators, and other key stakeholders
- Strong communication, business acumen, and negotiation skills to influence and guide clients
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently while contributing to team success
- Fluent in English; knowledge of an African language is an advantage
- Willingness to travel extensively across South Africa and other African markets to support clients and grow opportunities
- Experience in project development and technical consulting constitutes a plus
