The Role: Senior Financial ManagerThis role will oversee the full financial function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial reporting. The Senior Financial Manager will lead the finance team, manage reporting cycles, budgeting, and cash flow, and drive process and system improvements to support strategic growth and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and manage the finance team to achieve strategic goals.Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.Ensure accuracy of general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, revenue, and fixed asset registers.Maintain strong internal controls and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.Lead budgeting processes, conduct variance analysis, and prepare financial forecasts.Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and funding requirements.Support financial due diligence, valuation modelling, and integration planning for acquisitions.Drive automation and efficiency improvements in financial systems and reporting.Collaborate with auditors, legal teams, and operations to assess financial risks and opportunities.About YouChartered Accountant (CA) with a bachelor''s degree or equivalent (NQF Level 7).10+ years of experience as a Financial Manager, with at least 10 years in finance leadership roles.5+ years industry experience in cargo, freight, or transport.Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax, VAT, and accounting regulations.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Accpac).Proven leadership, mentoring, and team management abilities.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to perform under pressure.Own vehicle and valid driver''s license, with flexibility to work overtime during peak periods.
