
Production Supervisor (Washing Plant)

- Responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating of the operations of staff and coordinate the activities of production and operating worker to ensure that production is achieved as cost-effectively as possible and according to client quality specifications.
- Promote a safe working environment and demonstrate zero tolerance for non-compliances towards safe practices, policies and regulations.
- Identify, Repair and eliminate all A-Class hazards immediately.
- Identify risks and set out the prevention, control and management of those risks.
- Communicate standard work practices, policies and regulations with sub-ordinates.
- Train and manage sub-ordinates on Standard operating procedures and safe work practices.
- Develop and execute plans to fully utilize the plants to ensure maximum production.
- Optimize feed to plant.
- Prevent and control breakdowns and stoppages.
- Assess and put in place control measures to prevent repetition of breakdowns.
- Continually inspect plant operations to prevent stoppages and breakdowns.
- Develop his production teams abilities and knowledge to ensure continues plant production.
- Produce and supply a quality assured product which comply with our customers requirements.
- Practically ensure and report the running density in the plants on regular intervals.
- Test the quality of produced coal on a regular basis with Spot ashes and set separation densities to match desired results.
- Stockpile management and blending.
- Set densities for ROM feed using a washability report from Laboratory.
- Accurately manually control of densities in the event of a technical failure.
- Adjust and set splitters correctly to obtain constant densities in order to eliminate density overflows and correct medium set points.
- General housekeeping.
- Minimum Grade 12
- Basic Coal Preparation course
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory position.
- 5 Years experience working on a mobile crushing plant and Washing plant.
- A recognised Supervisory / Leadership Program Certificate or studying towards one.
- HIRA Certificate
- MHSA Certificate
- Legal Liability Certificate
- ICAM Certificate
- HR related experience Leave management; Time and Attendance; IR, etc.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Basic communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to work in a team.
