- Responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating of the operations of staff and coordinate the activities of production and operating worker to ensure that production is achieved as cost-effectively as possible and according to client quality specifications.
- Implement the AMC systems and policies.
- Identify tasks as required by the nature of our work Environment.
- Coordinate employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage.
- Ongoing pro-active improvement of the dust suppression system.
- General housekeeping.
- Individuals should have in depth knowledge of dense medium separation plant.
- Ensure that the plant is operated at the optimal speed to achieve the target and product specification qualities
- Develop Plant tactical strategies for day-to-day plant control,
- Conduct the Coal Blending and Quality Control.
- Developing Plant Operational Procedures and ensure the implementation and Training of operational personnel.
- Develop the plant KPI and manage critical Asset Performance Matrices
- Manage the Plant Feed Sources, quality and yield analysis report.
- Manage plant consumables.
- Conduct risk assessments with team members and identify hazards and mitigate by means of control measures.
- Reporting and recording all deviations at plant.
- Elimination and reduction of spillage within plant.
- Schedule maintenance on Coal wash plants.
- Ongoing Safety Maintenance Management.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Collating and Capturing shift reports.
- Report on progress of targets to your manager
- Monitor production to ensure equipment is performing on most efficient output
- Management of Utilization and efficiency
- Minimum Grade 12.
- Valid drivers license.
- National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering
- Advanced Coal Preparation Certificate or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a foreman position.
- 5 Years experience working on a Dense medium Separation Plant.
- A recognised Supervisory / Leadership Programmer Certificate or studying towards one.
- HIRA Certificate
- MHSA Certificate
- Legal Liability Certificate (OHS Act & Construction Regulation of 2014)
- First Aid Certificate
- Fire Fighting Certificate
- ICAM Certificate
- HR related experience Leave management; Time and Attendance; IR, etc.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to work in a team.
- Problem Solving Skills.
