Reporting to Product Leader Overview of Position: The purpose of a Product Application Engineer (PAE) is to become an integral member of the Marketing & Sales team (M&S) and provide technical sales support to; the Bi sales force and customers by bringing deep or specific product and application knowledge to help understand the customers application, aid selection, put Bi products in the customers specifications and close deals. By creating a high level of trust in the customer network gather information to help create Go-to Market strategies and tactics in conjunction with the M&S team. Key Performance Areas / Responsibilities: Assist in achieving or exceeding in the companys sales target by using technical competence to position Bi as the best-in-class specialist in the fields of: Electric motors & Drivers. Use technical knowledge and experience to train and give credibility and support to our field sales, internal sales and to customers. With the M&S team develop a market saturation plan for the Bi offer with measurable tasks and outcomes. Train and support the branches to sell the product proposition and the lowest TCO (total cost of ownership) solutions. Use the company CRM to manage opportunities and plan actions. By continual development, ensure the Bi M&S team have deep product knowledge. Provide monthly reporting to market trends, opposition activities, product developments, business opportunities and challenges. Work with the relevant Product Manager and Sales Teams to create a clear focus on resource deployment and up skilling to enhance competences and capabilities. Contribute to M&S action plans/business plans and review with the team monthly.
Qualifications and Experience: Technical Degree or diploma or equivalent experience Must have thorough knowledge of the core products and applications -Electric motors & Drivers. Must have at least 5+ years business development skills. Strong people and communication skills Must have a growth-mindset. Drivers Licence Knowledge, Skills and Behavioural Attributes: Subject matter expert in their field Must have exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) Strong interpersonal & organisational skills Driven, ambitious & passion to succeed. Highly analytical Well organized and attentive to detail Self-motivated Technical foundation with a sales orientation
