Purpose of the Role: The IT Administrator will be responsible for managing, securing, and maintaining the organisations IT infrastructure and systems. The role ensures the smooth operation of servers, networks, and cloud environments while safeguarding data through advanced security measures. This position requires hands-on expertise in system administration, network management, cybersecurity tools, and user support, with a focus on reliability, performance, and compliance.Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To
  • Security Tools & Platforms
  • Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto)
  • Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux, macOS
  • Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Routing/Switching, VLANs
  • Threat Analysis & Vulnerability Management: Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys
  • Cloud Security: Azure, CCTV security features
  • Incident Response & Forensics: Wireshark, Volatility, Autopsy
  • Cloud Security: CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer
  • Server and desktop operating systems
  • CCTV Setup and Manage
  • DNS, Hosting
  • VM Ware
  • Office 365 (inclusive of Azure, Intune, SharePoint)
  • Server infrastructure
Criteria
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar IT administration role
  • Strong knowledge of:
Security tools and platforms
- Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto)
- Operating systems: Windows Server, Linux, macOS
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Routing/Switching, VLANs)
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and Office 365 suite (Intune, SharePoint)
- Virtualisation technologies (VM Ware)
- Threat analysis and vulnerability management tools (Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys)
- Incident response and forensic tools (Wireshark, Volatility, Autopsy)
- CCTV setup and management * Professional certifications highly advantageous (CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data security
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing technologies and priorities
