A leading financial services provider is seeking a Finance Clerk to join their Head Office team in Bryanston on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive work ethic.As a Finance Clerk you will responsible for the following:
  • Daily updating and balancing of cashbooks
  • Reconciliation of General Ledger to Trial Balance
  • Preparation of journals and removal of contras
  • Running daily reports and following up on outstanding branch items
  • Preparing month-end reconciliations for assigned accounts
  • General ledger reconciliations and admin
  • Assisting branches with queries, audit requests, and escalations
  • Supporting colleagues and assisting with ad hoc tasks as needed
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Matric/Grade 12 (essential)
Tertiary financial qualification or currently studying towards one (advantageous)
Minimum 2 years accounts experience
Experience with Accpac, intermediate Excel, and/or the Forex industry will be an advantage
