
Commercial Vehicle Workshop Foreman - Gauteng, Eastrand

- Supervise workshop operations, technicians, and apprentices
- Oversee diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy commercial vehicles
- Ensure work is carried out efficiently, correctly, and within deadlines
- Coordinate job allocations and manage workflow
- Monitor job cards, parts usage, and technician timekeeping
- Conduct quality checks and test drives
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians
- Liaise with service advisors and customers when required
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed in the workshop
- Identify training needs and support technician development
- Assist Workshop Manager with administrative and operational duties
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a workshop foreman, team leader or senior technician role within the commercial vehicle/Autobody/motor industry
- Technical qualification
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- In-depth understanding of commercial vehicle assembly, modifications, and quality standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ambitious and eager to grow into a management role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Professional, well-presented, and customer-focused
- High attention to detail and quality control mindset
- Computer literate (with dealer management systems advantageous)
- Valid driver’s licence code 10 or higher
- Based in or willing to relocate to the East Rand (Springs, Brakpan, Benoni, Boksburg, Nigel area preferred)
- Autobody / Commercial Vehicle Motor Industry experience ESSENTIAL!!
