Our client, a global leader in the mining and metals industry is looking for a Management Accountant who can transform raw data into clear insight, bring strategy to life, and guide the organisation toward its goals. This is your chance to be more than just a number cruncher, you will be a strategic partner in one of the most essential industries on the planet.Duties:

Performance Analysis – Analyse business performance, prepare detailed reports, and provide management with insights to support informed decision-making
Financial Control – Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and functional controlling activities across the organisation
Month-End Management – Oversee monthly and quarterly closing activities, including accruals, reclassifications, and variance analysis
Data Governance – Maintain system and master data accuracy, including the chart of accounts and business warehouse tools
Leadership & Support – Supervise a small team, manage creditors/admin functions, and travels as required to Rustenburg for operational support
Strategic Contribution – Participate in special projects, financial governance initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts

Education and Experience:

BCom Accounting/Finance
CIMA qualification (ACMA) would be advantageous
Up to 5 years’ experience in finance/accounting at an operational or junior management level
Experience in mining, manufacturing, or related industry is essential
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
High levels of integrity, resilience, sound judgement, and a customer-oriented approach

Skills:

Pro-level Excel
SAGE experience is required
