
Payroll and Compliance Administrator

- Handle the full payroll cycle on Sage 300 People (monthly payrolls, multiple package structures)
- Ensure accurate processing of staff changes and timeous salary payments
- Administer and reconcile all statutory deductions (PAYE, UIF, SDL, etc.) and benefit contributions
- Prepare and submit EMP201/EMP501 returns and generate tax certificates
- Maintain payroll records, support audits, and resolve employee queries professionally
- Oversee COID submissions, disability claims, and UIF administration
- Contribute to compliance tasks and payroll improvement projects
- 5+ years' relevant payroll experience, with 3+ years using Sage 300 People
- Strong grasp of South African payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Solid Excel and MS Office skills, with sharp attention to detail
- Experience with benefits administration (retirement, medical aid, COID)
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
- A relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous
