Ensure compliance to the companies SHEQ Management System
Reporting information to Manager verbally and in writing
Reporting information to Client verbally and in writing
Conduct inspections at intervals not exceeding intervals described as above, such inspection will be captured with full descriptions of and corrective actions to be taken on the Safety Officers Inspection Report
Conduct on the job training on employees
Conduct risk assessments and implementing and monitoring of controls that needs to be implemented to eliminate/ manage such hazards and risks
Ensure compliance to legal and client requirements
Conduct Audits and ensure all actions are closed out
Write and review of policies and procedures as required
Manage and monitoring of sites action trackers
Managing and monitoring of all actions and requirements on the companies SharePoint system
Conducting of Incident and Accident investigations
Conducting of training
Conduct research to stay abreast of national and international legislation
To advise management on the legislation and mining charter
Nurture a positive working environment.
Report to management and provide decision support through SHEQ standards
Ensure legal compliance throughout SHEQ Management
Initiate any other reasonable instruction issues to you from your manager
