We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Business Analyst to join our clients dynamic team and lead the charge in redefining business processes through data-driven strategies, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.Are you passionate about transforming data into powerful business insights and driving meaningful process improvements?As a Senior Data Business Analyst, you will play a key role in owning data analysis and process improvement initiatives - from current state assessments to post-implementation support. Your efforts will drive efficiencies, increase standardization, and promote automation with clearly defined exception management protocols. You will act as a subject matter expert in system migrations, data and insights, and process optimization, while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful business solutions.Duties:

Facilitate workshops, conduct interviews, and perform research to capture business needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the current and desired state of business processes.
Evaluate technology solutions and highlight impacts on existing systems.
Write and interpret complex data queries using tools such as SQL, Power BI, QlikView, or Excel.
Analyse large datasets to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for value creation.
Map and improve processes using visual tools (e.g. Lucidchart, Bizagi).
Facilitate process workshops and design future-state process flows.
Identify root causes of inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
Support UAT and quality assurance of data and analytics solutions.
Assist with change management, training materials, and post-go-live support.
Lead data solution roadmaps and mentor technical teams and stakeholders.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement through structured feedback and monitoring.

Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Degree inIT, Informatics, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience:

8+ yearsof business analysis, data modelling or data analysis experience.
Financial services industry experience is highly advantageous.
Proven experience inAgile environments and knowledge of AI/ML concepts (preferred).
Strong experience with BI tools, databases, and process mapping software.
Familiarity with platforms likeJira, Lucid, and the Microsoft Suite.
