Our client, a well established supply chain and logistics company, division of a JSE listed Group, seeks two Business Development Managers, for their Durban and Cape Town offices.POSITION INFO:
Job Purpose:
- To focus on driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and developing strategies.
- Play a crucial role in expanding the organisation’s market reach and increase the revenue.
- Involved in all aspects of business development, from market research and lead generation to negotiating deals and managing client relationships.
- Bachelor Degree in Sales / Marketing, Supply Chain or similar.
- At least 5 years' sales experience in a similar role and/or a Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, is preferred.
- Proven experience in a commercial or business development role, preferably within a

Report to the Senior Business Development Manager:
- Identifying and researching new business opportunities:
- Analyse market trends, identify potential target markets, and research leads, identifying potentials.
- Develop and implement business development strategies:
- Create plans to achieve growth objectives, including identifying new markets and client needs.
- Building and maintaining Client Relationships:
- Network, attend industry events, and nurture relationships with all stakeholders.
- Monitoring Sales progress and Performance:
- Track key metrics, analyse data, and make adjustments to strategies in order to meet goals.
- Collaborating with internal teams:
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Negotiating and Closing Deals:
- Communicate and negotiate to secure new business and partnerships.
- Administration:
- Capture customer engagement data into Sales Mobility platform.
- Proper, efficient and effective use of the Sales Mobility platform.
- All relevant information regarding the engagement to be captured.
- Efficient, Effective, Quality reporting on all sales and marketing aspects of the business.
- Ensure all necessary guidelines strictly adhered to.
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
