The role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality, managing stock and costs, and leading the team in the Head Chef's absence. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented chef with luxury lodge experience to join a dynamic culinary team.Requirements· Tertiary Culinary Diploma & Grade 12· Minimum 3 years' experience as Sous Chef in a 5-star game lodge· Strong knowledge of fine dining, bush meals, stock control, budgeting, and kitchen health & safety· Ability to lead a team in the Head Chef's absence· Creative, detail-oriented, and up to date with culinary trends· Solid track record with contactable referencesResponsibilities· Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations· Ensure consistent high standards in food preparation and presentation· Manage stock, food costs, and monthly stock takes· Oversee mise en place and production across kitchen sections➡️A food portfolio must be submitted with your application that clearly displays your creativity, innovation and attention to detail.
