We are a forward-thinking technology company seeking a curious and analytical Mid-Level Hotspot Developer & Tester to join our innovative team. This is not a traditional coding role: Instead, we're looking for a scientific problem-solver to help us refine and advance our proprietary hotspot platform.If you are the type of person who gets excited by running tests, forming data-driven hypotheses, and uncovering the core drivers of system behaviour and performance, then we want to hear from you.Your primary role will be to ensure that our hotspot systems perform optimally and reliably. You will use a scientific approach to monitor, test, and analyse our platform, turning complex data into actionable insights that drive continuous, automated improvement. You'll be the crucial link between real-world customer experience and our engineering teams.Key Responsibilities:

Testing & Validation: Rigorously test and validate hotspot functionality using RADIUS and Mikrotik systems.
Wi-Fi Performance Analysis: Assess and troubleshoot Wi-Fi performance across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, with an understanding of key concepts like BSS colouring, airtime fairness, channel utilisation, and interference mitigation.
Data-Driven Hypothesis: Develop and test hypotheses based on performance, revenue, and user behaviour data to guide system improvements.
Field Testing: Conduct field tests and troubleshoot live environment issues, providing hands-on analysis.
Collaboration & Feedback: Act as a key data entry point for customer service, identifying trends and providing structured, clear feedback to engineering for software and process enhancements.
Documentation: Meticulously document bugs, system flows, test results, and progress reports.

The Must-Haves:

A self-starter with grit, motivated by a deep understanding of cause and effect.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
A technical understanding of networking fundamentals, particularly Wi-Fi protocols and hotspot operation (or a strong aptitude to learn quickly).
An analytical mindset; you are comfortable working with metrics, KPIs, and business data to identify areas for improvement.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineering and customer service teams.
The ability to write clear, concise documentation of technical processes and bugs.

The Nice-to-Haves (Advantageous):

2–4 years’ experience in Wi-Fi networks, hotspot systems, or related networking/telecoms environments.
Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi protocols, including airtime utilisation, channel planning, and interference detection.
Hands-on experience with RADIUS, Mikrotik, Cisco systems, and hotspot deployments.
Understanding of voucher APIs and how they integrate with hotspot systems.
Familiarity with SQL databases.
A relevant Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
