FMCG Regional Sales Manager (FMCG Foods) - Cape TownFull job descriptionRegional Sales Manager (FMCG Foods)Location: Cape TownOur client is seeking highly skilled and experienced Regional Sales Manager. This individual will be responsible to plan,implement, manage, oversee, and review all sales activities in designated region of the company, by managing, areamanagers, sales representatives, merchandisers, and external service providers to carry out their sales activities inaccordance with the company’s standards and requirements. The suitable candidate will also be responsible for ensuringthat all sales activities of the company in the designated region are managed effectively and efficiently to achieve set salestargets.Responsibilities:• Achievement of Budget: Define, monitor, and analyze existing customers, their performance, and the development ofstrategies and plans in the region to ensure the achievement of the monthly sales budgets, leveraging available resources.• Field sales management: To ensure the effective recruitment, training, and ongoing management of the field sales team,Protecting and ensuring effective utilization of company property and resources to achieve the company’s objectives.• Driving distribution and range: To ensure the achievement of targeted distribution levels, On Shelf Availability, productassortment, by developing and refining the appropriate sales techniques, approaches, and brand support mechanisms, suchas promotions, merchandising, display drives, customer and sales force incentives.• Sales partner management: To deliver the monthly BFR targets, via the effective management of the appointedmerchandising and sales partners.• Customer operational management: To ensure the ongoing development and management of key operational contacts todeliver on BFR instore objectives of OSA, promotion execution, ad hoc promotions, and merchandising. Build and maintainstrong relationships with customers of the Company.• Communication: Develop and maintain clear and effective lines of communication channels with customers, colleagues,staff, and management, ensuring effective reporting is exercised to Head office on your region• Stock Management: Ensure that effective processes are implemented to manage the region’s stock in store.• Performance management and review: Ensure that correct staff levels and quality of staff are maintained to achieve theregions objectives and actively manage, control, train, motivate and evaluate staff to ensure that company standards andobjectives are met.• Sales force optimization: Ensure the development, ongoing management, and execution of sales reps call cycles, alignmentof NOD, NDD’s, call compliance, to deliver optimum sales results to the direct call accounts.Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within the FMCG Foods industry.• Experience working with third party merchandising companies, experience working with PnP, Spar, Checker, and Dischem.• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.• Solid understanding of sales and marketing principles, market dynamics, and consumer behavior in the FMCG Foods sector.Our client is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
