- At least 1 year in a 5-star kitchen, having focused on breakfast and pastry
- Proficiency in MS Suite (excel, word & outlook)
- Culinary qualification preferred
- Knowledge of food safety & hygiene standards compliance
- Excellent inventory systems and stock management understanding
- Excellent guest relations and interpersonal skills
- Strong procurement and menu planning skills
- Creative culinary passion and flair to deliver exceptional and memorable breakfast experiences
- Design new innovative breakfast dishes & create baked goods on a regular basis
- Monthly food costing, budgeting & grocery procurement
- Prepare and serve top-quality hot breakfasts, focusing on fresh & locally sourced ingredients
- Strong administrative abilities, including stock control and regular inventory checks
- Setting up of breakfast service and upholding food safety & hygiene regulations
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures when necessary
- Exceptional guest service to create a warm & welcoming atmosphere
- Email correspondence and inter-departmental communication
- Full-time or half-time options
- R10k-R13k per month
- Dinner allowance when required to stay overnight for work
