Job SummaryWe are looking for a Finance Controller to join a business that imports and distributes industrial electrical and automation products. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and controls, ensuring accurate financial management and supporting strategic decision-making. This is a leadership role within the finance team, providing guidance and insight across the business.ResponsibilitiesLead preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packsOversee reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing processesEnsure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and company accounting policiesSupport statutory audits, liaising with external auditors and regulatory authoritiesManage VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory submissionsImplement, monitor, and strengthen internal financial controlsProvide financial analysis to support business strategy and operational decision-makingSupervise, coach, and develop finance clerks and accountantsDrive ERP and systems optimisation (preferably Oracle NetSuite)Partner with operational managers to improve cost control, cash flow, and profitability
RequirementsBCom Accounting or equivalent qualification5+ years' experience in financial accounting, controlling, or auditAdvanced Excel skills and ERP system experience (Oracle NetSuite)Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax regulations
