DC Manager Durban

• Leading FMCG distributor (cold and ambient products) requires a Distribution Centre Manager in Durban, who will assume full accountability for effective operation and profitability of the DC. The position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and works with other Department Heads.

• Manage inventory
• Investigate and report on stock loss
• Manage multiple warehouse teams
• Manage KPI's and upskilling
• Resolve relevant IR and HR matters
• Continuously improve the performance of the depot
• Manage and measure warehouse performance based on best practice.
• Maintain and arrange maintenance for freezer equipment and machinery.
• Manage driver and forklift operators (licenses, PDP’s and renewals)
• Manage departmental expenses within budget
• Display a leadership role in Food safety practices
• Comply with all legal requirements, legislations, processes and protocols
• Apply best practice methodologies to improve DC operation
• Manage the dispatch, tracking and return of over 60+ trucks
