My client based in Cleveland is looking to employ an Assistant Steel Buyer. The purpose of this role is to timeously placement of purchase orders and delivery of purchased materials purchased at the best price possible.Key responsibilities- purchasing material for stock- purchasing of material for customer orders- source and select supplier with best terms- following up with suppliers- monitoring price increases- maintain an up-to-date supplier comparisonRequirements- good communication skills- build professional relationships with suppliers- connecting with suppliers- being precise and accurate- telephone etiquette- excellent Excel knowledge and experience- Pastel- Steel descriptions and terminology
