Salary: R100 000 R120 000 Per AnnumAn established financial services business is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Underwriter and Claims Administrator to provide underwriting and claims assistance to Advisers, with a focus on both Commercial and Personal Lines. This role requires strong administrative skills, in-depth product knowledge, and excellent communication with clients and insurers.Responsibilities:
  • Attend face-to-face client meetings at the office, if required.
  • Liaise with clients and provide feedback on underwriting progress.
  • Handle client queries promptly and professionally.
  • Record all relevant information accurately on internal systems.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Bridge communication between the office and insurance companies.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with insurers.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Understand policy wording and product-specific conditions.
  • Process and manage personal and commercial line claims.
  • Assist in the underwriting process for both commercial and personal lines.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Fully computer literate (Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • NQF Level 4 Certificate in Short-Term Insurance.
  • RE5 Regulatory Examination successfully completed.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Personal and Commercial Lines claims.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in underwriting Personal and Commercial Lines.
  • Must have own transport or reliable means to get to the office.
