This established household name is in search of a forward-thinking CFO with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to influence business direction. The role requires a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strategic insight, and is passionate about continuous improvement. A solid background in FMCG, retail, wholesale, or distribution is essential, as this experience will allow you to understand the business dynamics and position the company for long-term growth. You will partner closely with the executive team to guide business expansion, ensure sustainable profitability, and strengthen operational efficiencies.
Other duties include:
- Driving strategic planning and financial direction of the business
- Providing insights that enhance decision-making and business growth
- Leading and mentoring the finance team, ensuring high performance
- Overseeing financial reporting, compliance, and governance
- Driving process improvement, cost management, and efficiencies
- Qualified CA(SA)
- Minimum 10 years’ post-articles experience with strong commercial exposure
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience gained within FMCG, retail, wholesale, or distribution (non-negotiable)
- Proven experience at CFO or senior executive finance level
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of guiding teams through change
- Passion for innovation, efficiency, and continuous business improvement
