Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
  • Manage day-to-day lodge operations, ensuring smooth coordination across all departments.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service while upholding luxury standards.
Maintenance Management
  • Oversee all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring the lodge infrastructure and equipment are in optimal condition.
  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Manage maintenance staff and coordinate with external contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, train, and motivate lodge staff to deliver excellence.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Resource Management
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor costs, and optimise resource utilisation.
  • Manage procurement related to maintenance and operations.
Quality & Safety Compliance
  • Maintain rigorous quality standards for both guest services and facility upkeep.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental protocols are adhered to.
Minimum Experience & Requirements
  • Matric; relevant technical or hospitality qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years General Management experience in luxury lodge or hospitality, with strong maintenance oversight.
  • Hands-on knowledge of building systems, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Valid RSA ID, Drivers Licence, and own transport.
