- Build and maintain strong relationships with buying groups, mass-market retail chains, and key stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic partners within the Sub-Sahara region.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with retail and distribution partners to maximize business outcomes.
- Design and implement effective distribution strategies to enhance market coverage and product availability.
- Optimize channel performance by identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Drive operational excellence in the supply chain, ensuring seamless product delivery.
- Lead the sales team in achieving revenue targets and expanding market share.
- Develop promotional and marketing strategies tailored to the region’s consumer behavior.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Maintain a deep understanding of consumer preferences, market dynamics, and competitive landscape in the Sub-Sahara region.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategy formulation.
- Minimum of 10 years of commercial leadership experience, including managing teams and P&L responsibility.
- Proven track record of success in South Africa and broader Sub-Sahara markets.
- Strong relationships with buying groups, mass-market retail chains, and distribution networks.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of distribution channel development and consumer sales strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
