Our client, a well-established and growing player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their dynamic team based in Johannesburg North. - Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, ensuring accurate product costing and variance analysis.
- Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management review.
- Partner with production and operations teams to analyse costs and drive process improvements.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning financial objectives with business goals.
- Monitor standard costs and investigate variances, recommending cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards.
Qualifications:
- A completed degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CIMA qualification (completed or in progress) highly beneficial.
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years' working experience in a Cost Accountant role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
