This role leads the overall management of multiple technical laboratories, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. It involves driving process improvements, maintaining strict compliance with safety and quality standards, managing budgets, and building strong teams—all while delivering excellent service to internal and external clients.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure quality service delivery and resolve concerns.
  • Forecast and manage resource needs, equipment, and budgets.
  • Lead and develop teams, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets, driving cost-efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years' relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a mining, heavy machinery, laboratory, or technical environment.
  • Certification in ISO 17025 laboratory systems required.
  • Additional certifications in project management, method validation, or auditing are advantageous.
  • Experience in managing a business or unit with significant annual revenue.
  • Practical knowledge of laboratory equipment and operational processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and performance management.
