
Workshop Technician

- Matric Certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 4).
- Recognised Trade Test as a Millwright.
- Strong background in electrical and instrumentation.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in the Food and Beverage industry (advantageous).
- Troubleshoot and repair complex machinery in a timely and professional manner.
- Interpret manuals, blueprints, diagrams, mechanical schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Conduct equipment trials and tests, providing recommendations based on results.
- Perform installation, commissioning, and training on machinery and equipment.
- Write detailed service and maintenance reports based on findings.
- Carry out routine maintenance either on-site or in the workshop.
- Work independently and apply sound technical judgment to resolve complex issues.
- Provide prompt customer support for queries and breakdowns.
- Ensure exceptional service delivery and quality to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Respond quickly to workshop-related breakdowns and service requests.
- Schedule and execute planned customer services and interventions.
- Diagnose faults and determine root causes of equipment issues.
- Prepare and issue repair quotes for customer approval.
- Source and arrange necessary spare parts to complete service tasks.
- Adhere to all relevant safety standards both in-house and on customer sites.
- Participate in the company’s standby and call-out roster for emergency support.
