- Based on benchmarking, an indicative salary is around R500,000. Considering the spec and requirements, we'd appreciate your view on a competitive range, and we're open to exceptional candidates even if they exceed this.
- You will be will required to be a motivated and detail-oriented professional, supporting the corporate governance and compliance requirements of the asset management business. The role provides exposure to board processes, regulatory reporting and fund structures, while offering a strong career development pathway within governance and company secretarial practice;
- Board & committee support:
- You will be required to assist in the preparation and circulation of board and committee packs;
- You will be required to take minutes of meetings and follow up on action items;
- You will be required to maintain the annual calendar of board/committee meetings;
- Statutory & regulatory compliance:
- You will be required to maintain statutory registers and company records across group entities;
- You will be required to assist with filings at the Companies Registry (e.g., CIPC / Companies House) and with regulators where required;
- You will be required to support compliance with the Companies Act, financial services regulations and asset management/fund governance requirements;
- Corporate governance:
- You will be required to support the implementation of governance frameworks and policies;
- You will be required to assist with director onboarding and training;
- You will be required to conduct research on evolving governance and regulatory requirements;
- Entity & fund administration:
- You will be required to coordinate incorporation of new entities and changes to existing structures;
- You will be required to support documentation and record-keeping for funds, trusts, and SPV's;
- You will be required to liaise with external legal advisers, auditors and service providers;
- General support:
- You will be required to maintain an organised filing system (electronic and physical);
- You will be required to provide administrative and project support to the company secretary and senior governance team.
- You have excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in English;.

- You have a degree in law, finance, governance, or related discipline;
- You have progress toward or interest in studying for the Chartered Governance Institute (ICSA/CGISA) qualification;
- You have a minimum of 1 - 2 years' current, relevant experience in a company secretarial, legal, compliance, or governance role;
- You have a strong understanding of corporate governance principles and company law;
- You have exposure to asset management, financial services, or fund structures - this is desirable;
- You have experience working with multiple entities, SPV's, or cross-border jurisdictions - this is desirable;
- You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with board portal software.
