- Capture and submit claims accurately and efficiently to ensure doctors are paid promptly.
- Work closely with your Team, Finance, and Bookings colleagues to maintain smooth workflows and clear communication.
- Proactively identify and suggest process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce errors.
- Communicate with medical aids, patients, and doctors in a professional, empathetic, and transparent manner.
- Stay updated on ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical aid rules, applying this knowledge to resolve rejections quickly.
- Take responsibility for your work and support the team in achieving collective success.
- 3-5 years of medical billing experience (specialist billing)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- A genuine interest in the healthcare industry
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and over the phone
- Teamwork skills with a willingness to share responsibility and celebrate success
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
- This is a full-time, on-site position in Bellville, Cape Town with the opportunity to become a hybrid work model.
