Financial Accountant with BCom Accounting or similar Degree and minimum 5 years' post article (SAIPA or SAICA) experience in a small to medium sized accounting firm, required to manage a portfolio of clients for this independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Cape Town.Minimum requirements:
  • Relevant Degree and completed SAIPA or SAICA Articles essential
  • Minimum 5 years' post article experience within a small to medium sized accounting firm required
  • Ability to engage in Tax Planning to support efficient structuring and compliance required
  • Caseware, Pastel, Sage, Xero, GreatSoft experience preferred
  • Familiarity with preparing and submitting annual tax returns and VAT returns required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills essential
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare annual financial statements from source documents or trial balance
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for portfolio of clients
  • Preparation of accounting records from client-provided documentation
  • Completion and submission of company and trust income tax returns and VAT returns
  • Client engagement
  • Monitor budgets and timelines for each engagement
