Somerset West: My client, a leading hospitality establishment in the picturesque Helderberg area, is seeking to appoint a dynamic, creative, and highly organised Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to support the Marketing Manager and Team.Candidates who currently reside in or within close proximity to Somerset West will be considered for this role.Purpose of the Role
This support role focuses on social media management, content creation, marketing collateral, and campaign support to enhance brand visibility and guest engagement.Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To
  • Plan, create, and post engaging content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and grow the online community
  • Track, analyse, and report on the performance of social media activities
  • Create marketing materials and digital assets using Canva (or similar tools)
  • Assist with photography and videography coordination for events, promotions, and campaigns
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels
  • Coordinate ordering of branded collateral, signage, and promotional material
  • Support hotel departments with marketing requirements (events, F&B, room promotions)
  • Liaise with suppliers, printers, and agencies as needed
  • Assist in planning and executing promotions, seasonal offers, and events
  • Support email marketing campaigns and website content updates
Criteria
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a marketing, social media, or related support role (hospitality experience highly advantageous)
  • Diploma or certification in Digital Marketing or Social Media Marketing
  • Entry-level roles 1–2 years’ experience in content creation, posting, and social media coordination
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing trends
  • Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools (basic photography/videography knowledge an advantage)
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and creative with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, professional, and energetic attitude
